Painting
((Set a couple of days after she goes to see Manny, locked to Lee, kthnx. :D))
Kara grabs the sheet from the bed in the spare room, and spreads it haphazardly on the floor in front of the wall. Not that it really matters if she makes a mess, it'll probably just end up clean again the next time they come back to the room. That's her second favourite trick Here, after the free booze.
She's shoved the bed away, to the corner of the room, so she can easily get to the long side wall,
She's grabbed a shirt of Lee's, and is wearing it over her underwear. And trying very hard not to think of her dream, but its how she's always painted. It's okay though, because she knows what she's going to paint, and its not going to be that frakking mandala.
She grabs a chair and the biggest brush, and the navy paint, and coats the wall, apart from a large space in the middle.
She's having fun already.
With a smaller brush, she daubs a rough outline of what she's planning to draw in white paint. She fills it in in, then grabs a beer from the fridge and smokes a stogie while waiting for it to dry.
She misses flying so much its almost painful. This will either help or make her want to hit things. She may end up painting over it after a few days, but hey, it'll be another way to kill a day.
She gets to her feet and opens the other tins, grabbing a load of brushes and starting on the finer details. This is the part she loves the most, when its hard to tell exactly what it's going to be when she's finished. Every seemingly random stroke of the brush or scrape of the blade makes sense to her, because she's the only one with the completed picture in her mind's eye. She could spend hours like this, staring at the colours and completely oblivious to her surroundings.
